| J.
Wayne Abbott is a Certified Public Accountant and partner
with the firm of Abbott, Jordan & Koon, LLC where he works in
the areas of strategic planning for clients, mergers and acquisitions,
tax planning including estate and trust taxation. Wayne is also
a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants,
the Georgia Society of CPAs and the Institute of Management
Accountants.
A
graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BBA degree in Accounting,
Wayne has continued special education classes in strategic business
planning and taxes as well as other technology related subjects.
He also works in the firm's technology specific practice areas,
where he is the President.
Wayne
actively promotes the accounting profession and serves on the
boards of various civic and charitable organizations including
Rotary Club, the Chattahoochee Valley Art Museum and Certified
Community Literacy Program where he is Literacy Chairman. A native
of West Georgia, he grew up in Columbus near Mauk, and he currently
resides in LaGrange, Georgia with his beautiful wife Holly and
their two children, Will and Kayley. |
Brad
C. Clements obtained his BBA degree with
a major in Accounting from Columbus State University, formerly Columbus College,
in 1995 and his CPA certificate from the state of Georgia in 1997.
Brad serves as partner/manager on numerous audits in our local government,
financial institutions, nonprofit, construction contractor, and healthcare areas.
He has experience in tax planning and tax return preparation for individuals,
corporations, partnerships, as well as trusts and estates. He also performs peer
and quality reviews of other CPA firms throughout the southeastern United States.
Brad is a Fellow Member in good standing of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of
CPAs.
Brad and his wife, Ashley, live in Columbus, Georgia and are members of the
First Baptist Church of Columbus, Georgia. |

C. Jordan received his BS degree in Business Administration
from Auburn University in 1973 and his CPA certificate from the
State of Georgia in 1975.
David
is the Partner in charge of the financial institutions practice,
financial auditing, and quality control. David also has extensive
experience in individual, corporate, estate and gift taxation.
David
is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Georgia Society of CPAs. He currently
serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Society.
David is a member and past president of the Meriwether County
Rotary Club. David also serves on the boards of Flint River Technical
College, Housing Authority of Talbot County, Talbot County Chamber
of Commerce, The Valley Partnership, and Habitat for Humanity
in Talbot County. |
| Donnie
W. Koon earned his BBA degree with a major in accounting
from Columbus College, which is now Columbus State University, in
June 1978 and his CPA certificate from the State of Georgia in March
1979. In addition, he is also licensed as a CPA in the State of
Missouri since October of 1994.
Donnie
is a partner in the firm and a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of
CPAs and the Healthcare Financial Management Association
(HFMA). He has also served as the Chairman of the Georgia
Society of CPAs Health Care Industry Committee and is a member
of the HFMA Health Care Teaming Committee. In addition, he has
obtained the designations in HFMA as a "Fellow" in September
1995, as a "Certified Managed Care Professional" in
April 1996 and as an "Advanced Member" in December 1996.
He
is responsible for the audits of business entities, health care
organizations, not for profit organizations and employee retirement
plans. He is experienced in tax preparation and planning for individuals,
partnerships, corporations, not for profit entities, estates and
trusts. He has prepared and currently supervises the preparation
of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. He has been successful
in increasing Medicare reimbursement for clients with Medicare
TEFRA rate adjustment requests and managing the intermediary audits
and desk reviews of the cost reports. He has successfully prepared
appeals of negative findings as a result of the audits and desk
reviews. He has supervised and directed the design and implementation
of "activity based costing" systems. Prior to entering
the public accounting industry he was the financial officer for
a group of successful related corporations with businesses in
different fields. |

Charles Middlebrooks obtained a BBA degree with a major
in finance from Columbus State University in 1988. He also has an
AS degree in forest technology and worked in the wood products industry
for ten years prior to becoming an accountant. He received his CPA
certificate in 1991 from the State of Georgia.
As
a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Georgia
Society of CPAs, Charles has served on the Peer Review Committee
and the Governmental Accounting Committee. Additionally, he recently
completed the Georgia Society of CPAs Leadership Academy. Charles
is committed to community service and is a past president of the
Meriwether County Rotary Club and is currently the Treasurer for
the Meriwether County Chamber of Commerce.
Charles
is experienced in both income taxation as well as accounting and
auditing. He assists clients of all sizes with tax planning and
preparation and currently manages audit engagements for local
governments, financial institutions and not-for-profit organizations.
Charles has significant experience in profit organizations. He
also has significant experience in "yellow book" audits
and single audits under OMB A-133. He has served as a team member
on numerous peer review engagements of other CPA firms.
Charles
and his wife, Susan, live in Meriwether County, Georgia and are
members of Trinity United Methodist Church. They share many interests
together including a love for the outdoors, travel, hiking and
running. |
